We are looking for team players who like to perform Class and Statutory periodical surveys. This work involves all vessel types sailing and includes some of the offshore oil and gas exploring or processing vessels as well. Our market share is growing, and this is an excellent opportunity to join us for a rewarding career. This position would be suitable for a candidate with a degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent tertiary education acceptable to LR. The candidate must have demonstrable experience in carrying out classification and statutory surveys either on behalf of LR or other IACS Society, preferably for both existing ships and new construction. In addition to having excellent communication skills, the candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of the rules of major international classification societies, especially Lloyd’s Register. What you bring Experience working as a marine and offshore surveyor Significant technical competence /experience for existing ship hull, machinery and electro-technical, statutory, passenger vessels, tankers, bulk carriers and cargo ships Fluency in English language (verbal and written) is preferred Competence/experience in Marine Management System audits would be essential to be successful in this role The ability to travel throughout the region A degree or equivalent within a relevant field of engineering study Thorough understanding of the local marine and offshore environment Organizational and planning skills, ability to prioritize to meet deadlines Intermediate or advanced experience using MS Office suite of products: Word, Excel, Outlook.
