Purpose of the Position: To support the vessels and shore office by coordinating the daily activities and executing voyages to meet the requirements of contracts or charter parties. This includes voyage operations planning, scheduling, cargo stowage, and coordinating with port authorities for smooth and efficient operations. Core Job Functions: Interact daily with vessels, Marine & Technical Superintendents, and Customers to optimize vessel operations. Manage vessel scheduling activities, liaise with customers and voyage representatives and communicate updates promptly. Allocate scheduling resources and devise contingency plans to meet customer demands effectively. Review and execute all charter party agreement clauses relating to each individual voyage operation. Input essential data into vessel management system, including vessel positions and voyage details. Maintain internal databases with accurate information. Ensure timely collection and maintenance of voyage paperwork for audits. Oversee account receivables, re-bills, demurrage, and accounts payable for vessel voyages. Conduct cost-benefit and risk analyses post voyage for future revenue opportunities. Manage day-to-day data collection for regulatory reporting. Monitor bunker prices and coordinate bunker orders. Prepare customer review presentations and facilitate meetings. Contribute to the development and revision of procedures for effective operations. Represent OSG professionally to deliver efficient services to customers. Conduct effective communication and coordination between the charterer and all relevant parties. Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance OSG's market position and identify commercial growth opportunities. Core Competencies: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Maritime Academy graduate preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and strong computer skills required. Significant Factors: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with goal-setting abilities aligned with corporate objectives. Strong multitasking, planning, and organizational skills. High attention to detail and analytical proficiency. Physical ability to board vessels using gangways and climb ladders.
