The Department of Engineering Technology of the California State University Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime) invites applications for full-time Marine Vocational Instructor (MVI) of Engineering Technology. We seek a dynamic educator who is committed to shaping next generation engineers for the maritime industry and beyond by providing hands-on training and creating an environment of active learning for a B.S. in Marine Engineering Technology and Facilities Engineering Technology degree programs. We are interested in experienced mariners who will teach and assess basic and advanced Engineering Technology courses and STCW competencies on campus and aboard the annual training cruise. The candidate will also engage in scholarship that advances the mission of the Department of Engineering Technology and Cal Maritime.
